Carlo Carrà

(Quargnento, 1881 - Milan, 1966) 

Carlo Dalmazio Carrà was an Italian painter who adhered to Futurism and then to the Metaphysical movement. Heir to the 19th-century tradition, he took part in all the events of the artistic renewal of the new era, from Futurism to Metaphysics, from the 20th century to Plastic Values. From 1939 to 1951 he was a professor at the Brera Academy.
