Benati

Born in Reggio Emilia on February 23, 1949, Davide Benati attended the artistic lyceum in Modena and after that the Accademia di Brera in Milan, where he was also appointed to the Chairs of Anatomy and Painting. He currently teaches Anatomy at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna.The artist debuted in 1972 with his first one-man exhibition at the Galleria Il Giorno, Milan. Also worthy of note is the list of events showcasing the works of multiple artists including his own (Anni Ottanta in Bologna and the III International Triennial held at the Kunsthalle in Nuremberg, both in 1985; Dopo il concettuale in Trento and Itinerari di arte contemporanea in Lisbon, in 1986; the International Cairo Biennial in 1995), and solo exhibitions at private galleries in Italy and abroad (Antwerp, Stockholm, Hamburg, Zurich, Paris, New York). Since 2006, he has been working exclusively for the Galleria Marlborough Monaco.
